Picked green

Edamame, explained
Edamame is soybean harvested young, while the pods are still green and the beans are tender. It is served in its pod, often steamed and salted, and is as much a small ritual as it is an ingredient.

The pod is a handle. Cook it whole; then squeeze the beans out with your teeth or fingers.
Four minutes of steam or a quick boil, a generous scatter of salt, and you are there.
Fresh pods do not have the long shelf life of dried beans. That is why our 2026 drops are linked to the harvest and to nearby delivery clusters: the aim is to get a young pod from our farms to your table while it is still worth eating.
Edamo grows its own variety near Bengaluru and will share specific first-drop dates only when the crop is ready. It is a more useful promise than pretending the season has no edges.
